So cheetahs are my ultimate favorite wild cats in the world. I absolutely love these beautiful cats.
As I'm sure most of you are aware, cheetahs are the fastest land animal. They can run as fast as 60-70 mph!!! That is crazy fast! They are a sprinter and therefore can only sustain that pace for a short amount of time. They can reach top speed in less than 4 seconds! Afterward they most rest for an hour to catch their breath. It's spotted coat offers it the gift of camouflage, this helps it hide from it's prey.

It is best known for it's signature tear markings, running down from it's eyes. Cheetahs are lone hunters. The cheetah waits to begin it's chase until it gets close to it's prey. Cheetahs live in Africa and the middle east!
